Projects are an initiative being implemented that groups together concrete intervention and trial plans. They are the more zoomed out strategic and planning unit where we specify the context, goals and theory of change that is relevant to multiple intervention plans.
The plan contains:
- Project Summary - What is the project aiming to achieve? Why is this important?
- Project Goals - These are simple, aspirational statements of what we are aiming to achieve with the project. They should focus on the key ecological or social leverage points that we are expecting to change, and on the insights or lessons we expect to learn by implementing the project. They do not need to be directly quantifiable and they should only capture the intended impact, not how it will be achieved.
- Baseline Scenario - What is the current situation? What events led to this? Describe both past and current threats. What would happen to the area without intervention?
- Theory of Change - Explain how the proposed intervention(s) will lead to the desired outcomes and ecosystem wide impacts.
- Intervention Logic Diagram - Our tool for thinking about the causal links within the project, and the assumptions involved. You can read more about them here.
